Galaxy Nebula Study on a round 10 inch Mirror centerpiece, painted with epoxy resin.

How its made:
Each centerpiece platter is created with 4-5 layers of epoxy resin. Alcohol ink is added for color. Resin is poured on and blended with heat, then left to cure for 24-48 hours.

Where to use it:
Great for any table or flat surface; they can be left as is for a pop of color on your dining or side table, or place candles, flowers and/or other accents right on the centerpiece.
Some suggested uses could be for a dining room centerpiece, a decorative base for hurricane candles, side or coffee table accent, bathroom tray, and more.

What’s not the back:
These mirrors are meant to lay flat on a table. On the back of the piece are foam bumpers to protect your table. This one and my other pieces like it were created by painting with epoxy resin on mirror centerpieces. They can be left as is for a pop of color on your dining or side table, or place candles, flowers and/or other accents right on the centerpiece. Heat resistant within reason.

Want to hang it on a wall instead?:
Upon request I can add hardware onto the back of the artwork to hang on a wall. It’s not automatically included, as it could scratch your table surface.

About the Series:
This platter is part of a series of galaxy paintings, inspired by nebulas. With layers I built the dimensions. I layered various mixes of epoxy mixed with pigment and glitter, as well as iridescent film. I call the series galaxy studies, because most of the techniques were improvised and experiments. I create most of my art this way. Experimenting and then expanding on those experiments.
